Warranty Policy
At Black Birch, we are comitted to keeping you fishing, and will do anything in our power to get you back on the water. Lots of you depend on our rods for your livelihoods, for your jobs, and for your food, so we want to work with you in case something goes wrong.
Black Birch rods are build with the highest standards, each hand crafted, and individually inspected before heading out our doors. That being said, sometimes things go wrong that just might not be in your control, so we offer a limited lifetime warranty with every single rod we offer.
Limited-Lifetime Warranty
The limited lifetime warranty is offered to every rod that goes out our doors. However, you are required to register within 60 days of purchase. With registering your rod with us you will be protected against,
Cracking of the Carbon blank
Cracking/Breaking of the handle and rod seat
Guides pulling off the blank
Tips falling off
Epoxy failures
These issues are very few and far between, but they do happen. So if this happens, you can send us your rod back and we will either fix or replace it at no cost to you. Depending on if you have a custom rod, or a pre-built will depend on turnaround time. We aim to get your rods out the door within 10 days of recieving orders or warranty fixes, but this time is subject to change.
There are however some things that are not covered under your lifetime warranty. As rods have specific use lives, and undergo incredible stress day in and day out, we cannot warranty any issue with your rod. Circumstances not included in your limited-lifetime warranty are,
Normal Wear and Tear
Misuse and Abuse
Accidental Damage
Guide/Wrap Damage
You are not the original owner
If any of these circumstances do happen to you we would be happy to work with you and find a solution that will get you back on the water with a high-quality, Black Birch Rod.
